Giancarlo Facchinetti – about the artist

Giancarlo Facchinetti has a Fine Art degree from the University of Wolverhampton.

He is a sculptor, a musician, and sound artist.

He has worked alongside poets Emma Purshouse and Nadia Kingsley, and astrophysicist Professor Trevor Ponman to create and perform in E-X-P-A-N-D-I-N-G: The history of the Universe in 45 minutes, within a mobile planetarium dome at several UK festivals.

He has worked on two Fair Acre Press projects – as sound recordist, podcast engineer and podcast music composer. His expert recording and editing has been publicly acknowledged by Carcanet Press, poet Alison Brackenbury and more.

He has exhibited his artwork in Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Brighton.

He has digital artwork published in DIVERSIFLY – poetry and art on Britain’s Urban Birds – which is currently shortlisted for the International Rubery Award and A Year in Herbs.

He is the curator of the Painting by Pixels art exhibition at Qube gallery, Oswestry – which is supported through public funding by Arts Council England.
