Sitting Ducks by Lisa Blower is now on the top five shortlist for the Arnold Bennett Book Prize!!
Earlier this year it was announced that Sitting Ducks had made it on to their longer shortlist. But now the judges final decision will be between Sitting Ducks, 2 poetry collections, a new edit of a Bennett novel and a factual work.
The winning book will be announced at a ceremony at Keele University on September 1, 2017 as part of a year of events to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the ‘Bard of the Potteries’.
Well done to Lisa who has written such a lively feisty true novel about contemporary Stoke-on-Trent: just ahead of the town being spotlighted after last year’s referendum
