Poet, 2014 Costa Poetry Prize Winner Jonathan Edwards
Jonathan’s debut collection, (Seren), has won the Wales Book of The Year People’s Choice Award, been shortlisted for the Fenton Aldeburgh First Poetry Collection Prize, with his poems winning the Cardiff International Poetry Competition, the Ledbury Festival International Poetry Competition, and the Basil Bunting Award.
Jonathan Edwards says:
I’m most looking forward to adapting my approach to a subject matter I probably wouldn’t otherwise explore. It’s about being prompted to push your writing in new directions and new forms, and I’ll be really interested to see the range of approaches the other poets take to bring these species to new light. Scientific fact can be hugely inspiring to a poet. It’ll be so rewarding and great fun to write.
