I thought I’d like to share with you what has happened at Fair Acre Press this year! But make it a little easier by presenting it mostly in picture form
We have published books!
Windy Old Fossils – a hilarious short play by Tom Wentworth for 2 actors on wind power and rural isolation
From Rowan Ridge – a stunning poetry collection by Chris Kinsey that’s a love letter to North Wales, nature and childhood
Persians – a gripping long anti-war poem by Kaite O’Reilly based on the only surviving ancient greek play that is written about fact, not myth – that won the Ted Hughes Award for New Works in Poetry when it was performed as a verse drama
We have published pamphlets!
My Darling Derry – about mental health and the founder of The Mental Health Foundation, by his daughter Sally Festing
A Ballad for Kitty Cockroach – an ecological long poem with illustrations by the International Rubery award-winning poet Keith Chandler
I have started The Colourful Umbrella with artist Paul Kielty!
I have, with the support of Arts Council England started a second project with the wonderful Derwen College!
I have co-run a residential creative weekend with both artist Paul Kielty and nature expert Sara Lanyon!
