Liz Lefroy wins prestigious 2016 Cafe Writers Open Poetry Competition, judged by Andrew McMillan, with her poem This Is Not To Exaggerate.

As Liz Lefroy’s publisher and editor I am extraordinarily proud of her recent achievement of winning the 2016 Cafe Writers Open Poetry Competition, judged by Andrew McMillan, with her poem This Is Not To Exaggerate.

I’m not surprised.

But I am very proud.

Her third pamphlet Mending the Ordinary, has almost sold out of its second print run and has received excellent reviews – including a recent lovely blog about it, and her winning poem by a poet, Rob Moore, on his DrB blog

You can order Liz Lefroy’s pamphlet here, but not for much longer as we have almost run out!

You can read about the results, and Judge’s Report, of the 2016 Cafe Writers Open Poetry Competition here

and the DrB blog here

My personal congratulations to all those poets named in this competition – and to the wonderful poet, Andrew McMillan, who read two thousand poems to reach his decisions!
