NHS POETRY ANTHOLOGY LAUNCH!

ALL LAUNCHES CANCELLED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS BUT BOOK VERY MUCH AVAILABLECLICK HERE

Everyone are Welcome to Waterstones Tottenham Court Road for a book launch of THESE ARE THE HANDS – an NHS poetry anthology ABOUT the NHS and written BY the NHS staff

Waterstones are celebrating World Poetry Day by inviting you to join poet Charly Cox (‘She Must be Mad’) and author Molly Case (‘How to Treat People’), with editors Deborah Alma and Dr Katie Amiel (and myself Nadia Kingsley, publisher of the anthology) to launch ‘These are the Hands’, a tender and heartfelt tribute to our health service.

Offering a unique insight into the real experiences of the people at the heart of the NHS, ‘These are the Hands’ is a deeply affective anthology.
The poems offer unflinchingly honest and intimate accounts from the people who care for us from the moment of birth to the end of life. In crystallising the most beautiful and painful moments of being
human, they speak directly to all our experience.

‘A wonderful anthology to celebrate the NHS, which is itself the best poem a country has ever written’ – Stephen Fry
‘Heartfelt and intimate’ – Adam Kay
