We are delighted to announce that we will be on stage with the Greenwich Observatory’s Public Astronomer in Stratford -upon-Avon.
The brainchild of the festival organiser – Annie Ashworth – we will add poetry and music and hear close-up what Dr Marek Kukula has to say about the Universe ! I wonder if he will mention Einstein’s gravitational waves?
This is what it says about the event in the Stratford Literary Festival’s programme
The Intimate Universe A Voyage into Space
Stratford ArtsHouse 7.30pm Friday 29th April 2016 £10
We’re sending you into the galaxy.
The Public Astronomer at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, Dr Marek Kukla, talks about the ways the universe affects our lives and the myriad ways we can connect with the stars. He’ll be joined by poets, Nadia Kingsley and Emma Purhouse, and musician Giancarlo Facchinetti who’ll bring the universe to life with music and poems as the auditorium becomes
a canopy of space and stars, including astonishing images from the Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition.
