Paul Kielty – about the artist

Paul Kielty has an Animation degree from the University of Wolverhampton.

He is an artist, cartoonist, musician, M.C., Stand-up, and practises the art of Origami.

His artwork has been shown in Wolverhampton and Birmingham.

His digital artwork is published in DIVERSIFLY – poetry and art on Britain’s Urban Birds – which was shortlisted for the International Rubery Award and longlisted in the Saboteur Best Anthology awards.

His artwork can also be found in Jayne Palmer and friends’ A Year in Herbs.

His cartoons are published in his new book – Matt Hazard: Return of the Naive which has been endorsed by the great Hunt Emerson.

For the past 2 years he has been commissioned by Welshpool Poetry Festival to create a cartoon for their children’s poetry competition.

He is an experienced workshop leader; most recently running Painting by Pixels workshops at both Derwen College and Designs in Mind, Shropshire.

He has co-authored the Painting by Pixels ebook – How to draw and paint on your mobile device

He has digital artwork in the Painting by Pixels art exhibition at Qube gallery, Oswestry – which is supported through public funding by Arts Council England.
