Fair Acre Press at London Book Fair

I am very excited to have had Fair Acre Press invited to showcase our books at The London Book Fair this year

As their website says:

A Global Event in The Creative Capital of the World

Dates: 10-12 April 2018

The London Book Fair is the global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels. This year, the Fair will take place in April at Olympia, West London, covering all aspects of the publishing industry.

Not only will we have a bookshelf of our books in the Poetry Collective – we are also represented in the poetry corner: the area where panels, readings and discussions take place.

Along with Deborah Alma – poet, emergency poet, and editor of the #MeToo poetry anthology which launches next week on International Women’s Day (March 8th) I will be sitting alongside the T.S.Eliot shortlisted poet Jacquelins Saphra, and the Supplements Editor of The Sunday Times – Karen Robinson… How wonderfully crazy !! And no homework needed as we will be talking about the #MeToo poetry anthology

Here are the details:

#MeToo: Passion, Politics & Poetry; the power of the collective.

11 Apr 2018, 10:00 – 11:00

 Poets’ Corner

A panel and poetry reading event – in which the many interesting, perhaps unique, aspects to the #MeToo poetry anthology production will be discussed; including –

How the book came about

Why the editor needed to be Deborah Alma

How Fair Acre Press became involved

How print-on-demand, an indie press, and the surge of help from women made the impossible deadline of International Women’s Day, March 8th 2018, possible.
